Ardha-Matsyendrasana
Starting position—Sit in the normal manner on the carpet.
1.
Fold
the right leg and push the foot under the left thigh.
2.
Lift
the knee and put the sole of left leg near the right knee on the ground.
3.
Press
the left knee in the arm-pit of right hand twining over the keep of left and
catch the toe of left leg.
4.
Put
the left hand over the back and put the palm on the thigh of right leg. Final
position.
5.
Remove
the left hand.
6.
Remove
the right hand.
7.
Stretch
the right leg.
8.
Get
to the original position.
Practise this Asana, starting with left leg
the other way round. This Asan may be practiced for 3 minutes.
Benefits
Corrects ailments of hands, legs, abdomen,
ribs, lumbar, neck, spinal column, liver, spleen, kidneys ete. Improves
functions of these organs. This Asan is very useful in diabetes and
constipation.
