Paschimottanasana

 

Sit down with legs stretched.

 

1.     Stretch hands over the head.

2.     Bend straight down slowly, till the head is on knees and atch hold of foot-thumbs (toes). Final position.

(In bending the body down straight initially, it may be difficult to put the head on the knees. Do not strain the body. Bend to the extent possible. There will be improvements in the position every day.)    

3.     Leave the hold on the toes and stretch the hands.

4.     Push back the head slowly and lie on back.

5.     Stretch the hands over the head and sit straight.

6.     Repeat the position as per no. 2.

7 & 8. Stretch the hands and come back to the original position.
