Yoga—Mudra

 

Starting position—Sit in the normal manner on a constipation.

1.         Put the right leg on the left thigh, near the groin, heel touching the abdomen.

2.         Put the left leg on the right thigh in the similar manner.

3.         Put both the hands behind the back and clasp one hand by the other.

4.         Take a deep breath and bend forward putting forehead on the ground (keep the back in a straight position and exhale the breathe slowly). Final position.

5.         Without taking any breath lift head slowly till sitting erect.

6.         Remove hands.

7.         Remove legs.

8.         Get to the original position.

 

 Practise this 5-7 times.   

 

Type II

 

1.                 Take the Padmasan pose putting left leg on the right thigh.

2.       Put first of both hands between heels and abdomen, the thumb side of the firsts

          touching the heels.

3.       Take deep breath and bend forward putting forehead on the ground. Breath as above. Remain in the above position, doing deep and slow breathing for some time.

Corrects ailments of hands, legs, lumbar and back. Helps in proper developments of these parts. Strengthens chest and lungs. Helps in correcting tonsillitis and asthama. Improves intellect, purifies Sushumna Nad and activates Kundalini. Prufies mind and improves concentration.
